Websites that put you into E-Commerce Comas

I recently found this list of the “10 Shopping Sites To Lose Two Hours On.”  As an avid e-commerce shopper, I find this reference dangerous and exhilarating all at once.  Elle does a great job of reviewing each of the websites and also showing their “Editor Picks” that can be purchased on each (everyone go look at the Giuseppe Zanotti Fringed Suede Sandals that can be found on FEYT.com).  My favorite website right now is ShopBop.com, which made the list, but I’m excited to check out these other websites as well.  Tell me which ones are your favorites!

Taking “Kues” from the Kardashians

The Kardashians always seems to bring up a lot of controversy whenever they are discussed among my peers.  And I totally get it – their fame basically came from Kim making a sex tape.  That being said, I can’t help but have a lot of respect for their family.  They are one of the most, if not the most, followed celebrity families worldwide, and they continue to expand their global image in our media crazed world.  They turn all of their bad press into an adored reputation which can’t be said of most other celebrities.  I mean, Kim married one of the dumbest people on this planet and then rebounded with Kanye West.  Kourtney made partier and binge drinker Scott Disick her baby daddy, and I’m pretty sure he’s everyone’s favorite “Kardashian.”  That’s good publicity.  Although their “reality” shows are pretty blatantly scripted, I still find myself tuning in every week to see what over the top (maybe even obnoxious) thing they are going to do next.  I hope you guys don’t judge me too harshly over this confession, but try to keep an open mind.  I’m convinced they are the most influential people in popular culture right now.  To prove my point, here are just a few of their current business ventures…

1) Keeping Up With the Kardashians (the show that started it all)

2) DASH boutique

3) Kardashian Kollection at Sears

4) Khroma Beauty

5) Arthur George (even Rob has a business now!)

6) Kim Kardashian Fragrance

7) Khloe and Lamar Fragrance

8) Kendall & Kylie x PacSun (can’t forget the Jenners)

…and this doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Coachella has become one of the most fashionable times of the year.  I am constantly hearing about what everyone is planning for their festival fashions, and how they are going to max out on the very popular “hippie looks”.  Every e-commerce website knows that with Coachella happening this weekend (and next), every girl is looking for a little inspiration.  Here are my favorite lookbooks from this year, and also my favorite Coachella fashion moments from years past.

Lookbooks to check out:

1) Planet Blue x Foam Magazine

2) Nasty Gal

3) Free People

4) LF

5) Forever 21

Farfetch.com Hits the Jackpot

Image

WWD reported today that Conde Nast is putting $20 million worth of funding into Farfetch.com.  Self described as a “hub of a global fashion community that unites independent boutiques around the world with fashion lovers,” the marketplace is comprised of 250 shops in seventeen countries.  The website combines e-commerce and social media with a ‘People’ area where you can read about fashion and interact with others in the Far Fetch community.  Sounds like the perfect website for fashion and social media lovers like myself.  And under Conde Nast’s wing, I don’t see what could go wrong.
